Virtual Tour
Welcome to this Virtual Tour of our new Hospice - Hibiscus House. Construction started in October 2006, we moved in on November 12th 2007 and the building was officially opened on January 29th 2008. We welcome enquiries from groups wishing to have a tour of the new facility.

We are very fortunate to receive a collection of artworks by well-known multimedia artist John Pappas. |

Our lounge and dining room are used by many groups during the week including tai chi, our children's group and patients and caregivers on a Friday morning. |

The upstairs training room is much used by our nurse trainer and our manager of volunteers. |

| The clinical team, which comprises our nurses, doctors, social worker, chaplain and family counsellor, are based in a spacious, sunny room that opens on to the balcony and looks over the golf course. | ![]() |

Our sanctury or quiet room. This room is used by both our chaplain and our family counsellor. Meeting the spiritual needs of our community is part of the hospice tradition. |

A bedroom in the in-patient unit. There are six rooms, each has access to the balcony, its own bathroom and there is also a lounge should patients wish to have a change of scenery. |

Balconies run along three sides of the building. This is the northern side with the lounge on the right and the in-patient unit ahead. The view is over the golf course and out to the Hauraki Gulf. |

Administration is at the western end of the building. Reception is to the right and the lower ground floor can be accessed via the carpark to the left. |

The downstairs training room is 13x8m and can comfortably seat 100 people. It has its own kitchen and bathroom facilities. It is accessed via the lower carpark. |
